When I Work, My Trousers Work Too: Formal Wide Leg Trousers

I really like wide leg trousers. They’re stylish and modest and all-round good fun. Here are some formal pairs for work or just because you’re cool like that.

Looking for a top to match? Have a look at the long tops in this blog post.

1. Burgundy Wide Leg Trousers – New Look

Here’s an unusual colour to start with.

These are also available in black, stone and white.

2. Lost Ink Pin Stripe High Waisted Trousers – ASOS

I love the texture and colour of these. Not to mention the cute detail around the pockets – just because no one will see it when you have a long shirt on, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy knowing they’re there.

3. Softly Draping Wide Leg Belted Trousers – La Redoute

Another lovely colour that still works in more formal settings.

Also available in black and off-white.

4. Wide Leg Trousers – La Redoute

I said this post was for formal trousers, so the classic office grey is inevitable! These are a very nice example.

Note that these are low in stock. Also available in black.

5. Linen Wide Leg Trousers – ASOS

Given the linen fabric, these are probably pushing the boundaries of formal wear, but I think with the right top you can pull it off!

Also available in silver and black.

Matching bonus: Monki Midi Shirt Dress – ASOS

This colour goes perfectly with all the trousers above, with the exception of the grey pinstripes – that might be a bit too much of a good thing!
